First and foremost, I wanted to make a chair as comfortable as possible without needing upholstery. I used simple materials and designed it for easy disassembly. It supports repair, recycling, and durability, aligning with sustainable practices. The chair's stacking is straightforward and aimed at easy handling by the people at work.

I have chosen to focus on aesthetic sustainability in a genre as well-explored as stackable chair design. Seen Unseen was designed with tradition in mind while embracing the future. To make the chair attractive to multiple settings, I have worked with a simple, recognizable silhouette that conveys the use of the chair. The chair has a classic construction made by a matte chrome-plated orthogonal metal frame with a floating apple birch wood seat and backrest.

The chair's aesthetic appeal primarily lies in its material contrasts. I have chosen materials that create a deliberate duality between cool and warm, industrial and natural - reflecting today's highly technological world and our desire for handmade, natural elements.
